Such a pleasure to chat with @junction_mag for their March issue.

We talked about when to bring an interior designer on board (hint: earlier than you think!), current trends and how much influence they should have in the design process, and why the magic really happens when we balance a little bit of old and a little bit of new with what’s really personal.

I also shared a little about how we work - guiding our clients from initial concept right through to completion … from big picture vision to the final cushion chop!

Oh, the bliss of tucking into a cosy bed at the end of a long day.⁠

Making that moment feel extra special was exactly our aim with this bedroom — creating a little sanctuary where you can relax and truly unwind.⁠

A collection of tonal greens brings the rural outlook indoors, proving that nature really does know best. Calm, grounding and basically giving you permission to sleep in.⁠

The wall-to-wall velvet panelled headboard is a little bit dramatic (in the best way), anchoring the room and making bedtime feel slightly five-star. It’s paired with stunning handmade glass pendants by @lukejacombstudio — because ordinary lighting just wasn’t going to cut it.⁠

A subtle, textured wallpaper with just a hint of shimmer creates a quietly fabulous backdrop, beautifully toning with the paint on the adjoining walls.⁠

It might surprise you how excited we get about handles and hinges 🤔😆 Small details, but big impact in the final design. The right hardware can completely elevate doors and cabinetry tying an entire scheme together.

Too special (and far too comfy) to replace, we reupholstered the armchairs in beautiful, practical velvet instead. Inviting and tactile, they’re perfect for long reads or cosy evenings in front of the TV.⁠
